Thomas Neil Lee
Partner
Neil Lee is a distinguished Partner at M&I Pinestraw, bringing over 20 years of formidable experience in farm operations to the team. With a strong educational background from Georgia Southern University and Georgia Southwestern, Neil’s expertise in the agricultural sector is both extensive and profound.
As a valued family friend and a firm believer in the mission of M&I Pinestraw, Neil’s dedication and commitment are evident in every aspect of his work. His leadership and vision continue to drive the success and growth of the company, making him an integral part of the M&I Pinestraw family.
Robert Sanchez
CFO
Robert is currently the in-house accountant for M&I Pine Straw and resides in Auburn, AL. He holds an associate’s degree in accounting from Columbus Technical College and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Columbus State University. In his spare time, Robert enjoys running, spending time with family and friends, and visiting local coffee shops and panaderias.
Lizzy Grant
Social Media Manager
Lizzy manages the social media accounts for M and I Pine Straw. She recently graduated from Columbus State University with a degree in Marketing. She currently lives in Hogansville, GA and enjoys playing pickleball, spending time with friends, and watching movies in her free time.
Alejandro Hernandez
Although he graduated from high school in Texas, Alejandro decided to join M&I Pine Straw here in the south east. His hobbies include playing soccer and preparing desserts with family. He’ll satisfy your sweet tooth and then help you burn the calories on the soccer field!⚽ Alejandro also wanted to mention that he enjoys working for a company that provides such a unique, high-quality product.

Driver
After 40 years of being an over-the-road driver, Rick decided to take wheel for M&I Pine Straw. He’s been hauling pine straw for the team for the past 2 and a half years. Semi-retired now, Rick enjoys spending his spare time with his family. He’s a father of 5, a grandfather of 10, and a great grandfather of 9 wonderful great grandchildren! Rick mentioned that he loves working for M&I Pine Straw. It’s a big family that he’s a part of and he feels right at home.
Jose Luis Avila
Chief Product Officer at M&I Pinestraw
Jose Luis is the Chief Product Officer at M&I Pinestraw, where he plays an integral role in overseeing every step of production, from preparation and harvesting to getting the product ready for distribution. Since joining the team in 2021, Jose has been instrumental in our transition to machine operation, ensuring that our processes are efficient and effective. His expertise and dedication are vital to our success at M&I Pinestraw.
